I put travel out of my mind for the last year while it wasn’t an option and focused on activities that I enjoy that were possible. We did some nice day trips and visited 1,000 Islands last summer and that was lovely! Our Quebec road trip though... epic. Food for the soul 🥰 I am so grateful that we are on a path back to normalcy and more adventures. P.S. Nick snapped this in Portrait Mode on my iPhone! 😍

When I give you food recommendations you can trust that it is TOP NOTCH and that I have eaten whatever is at least a dozen times. I like eating the same things again and again (case in point, this photo of my @wolf.down n sandwich. We eat there a lot ). This is why I am not and could not be a food blogger and soooo... for food recommendations these are some food bloggers in Ottawa that I LOVE following and that you should follow too! Hungry in Ottawa? These are your people: @consumedbycarlo for Ottawa and Montreal recommendations for all the best places! Bonus: sometimes he tries weird food combinations (like mustard on watermelon) and records his reactions. It is a terrible idea and has yet to end well for him... but it also the funniest thing in my feed right now 🤣 @foodsofottawa is an Ottawa couple that always finds the best deserts in particular. Stuffed cookies, snowball butter tarts, just to name a few! I am often going straight from their posts to Google maps and then trying convince Nick that everywhere they post about is ‘walking distance.’ I cannot be trusted with ‘walking distance’ lol 🍪 @eatwithyumi for those niche recommendations: she posts halal, vegetarian, and pescatarian food! I had the pleasure of working with Yumi for a couple years back when I was working at Apple and she is also one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet 🥰 @ottawa.nibbles is an account I have been following for YEARS! He runs a ton of giveaways and shares awesome info on new and family owned food spots in Ottawa. HAPPY MUNCHING! 😋
Hello from our epic Quebec road trip! 👋🏻 I Hello from our epic Quebec road trip! 👋🏻 It’s our last night in L’Anse-Saint-Jean and all I can say is... WOW. This place is absolutely breathtaking. Everywhere you look is another spectacular sight. We’ve been hiking, kayaking, and having dinner looking out at the the fjords every night. I have so many photos and experiences to share with you and a blog post is on the way - I’ll make sure it has everything you could possibly need so it is a one-stop guide for when you visit one day! P.S. my sandbar was overtaken by the tide shortly after taking this photo! I had to run with my tripod because my path was disappearing under water.

My level of excitement about the provincial border My level of excitement about the provincial border reopening is easily a 14/10 🙌🏼 📍Pink Lake Things to know: Gatineau Park ✅ Gatineau Parkway and Champlain Parkway are open to vehicles from 1:00 PM to 30 minutes before sunset on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is reserved for active use the rest of the time. ✅ The active use reservation times are amazing for cycling! ✅ There are several hiking trails that can be accessed any time, including during active use reservations (via Kingsmere or Meech Lake road). ✅ My Gatineau Park guide is linked in my bio and contains more details on which trails are accessible and when! #igersottawa #ottawaphoto
